Exams and assessments play an important role in how learners demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and understanding.
As the independent regulator of non-degree qualifications in Wales, we are here to maintain confidence that qualifications are fair, trusted and valuable.
We don’t set or mark exam papers or decide on grade boundaries or issue results. Those things are done by awarding bodies, such as Agored, AQA, City and Guilds, Pearson Edexcel, VTCT or WJEC. Our role is to set requirements and closely monitor the entire process, helping to maintain confidence in the qualifications system in Wales.
