An overview of the January 2024 results

Some learners in Wales will today (7 March) receive their results for exams and assessments sat in January 2024.

 Qualifications Wales would like to wish all the best to learners receiving results and thank all those who have supported them.

The January 2024 series included: unit exams for GCSE English Literature and GCSE Welsh Literature, some components and qualification awards of Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care qualifications and Level 2 and 3 Childcare qualifications, and Skills Challenge Certificate qualifications.

In its role as regulator, Qualifications Wales monitored WJEC’s delivery of this series and the approach taken to awarding grades. It is confident that the agreed processes were followed and that the awarded grades are fair to learners.

Most of the January series results are at a unit level, meaning they are one part of a larger qualification, and so aren’t published. WJEC published results for any complete qualifications for the January 2024 exam series in Wales on its website today.
