Health and Social Care and Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development

The adaptations have been put in place following discussion with centres, Social Care Wales and Health Education Improvement Wales and will enable as many learners as possible to complete their qualifications whilst maintaining employers’ confidence in the qualifications.

The reduction in the number of case study assessments for the Core qualifications in Health and Social Care and Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development will continue until 31 August 2022 for all learners who are currently in learning or start up to 31 March 2022. Centres may also continue to offer assessment of the case study questions through verbal question and answer sessions with the learner. 

Remote invigilation continues to be available for the on-screen multiple-choice assessments.
