Modified Papers for GCSE, AS and A level: 2024 to 2025 academic year
An annual release that presents data on the number of Modified Papers in Wales approved for GCSE, AS and A level qualifications.
Key Points:
- There were 3,580 modified papers produced by awarding bodies for the summer 2025 exam series, down 46.6% compared to summer 2024.
- In previous years, we have included the number of approved access arrangements through Access Arrangements Online in each academic year in this release. Following the withdrawal of these statistics in July 2025, we are continuing to investigate the data quality issues that have been identified in this data, and we intend to republish these statistics once we are confident that the data is accurate and meaningful. While this work is ongoing, we have chosen to remove the access arrangements data from this release.
