Continuous assessment: Research into using continuous assessment for high stakes results

This report focuses on the key findings across the different strands of the research. 

AlphaPlus Consultancy were appointed by Qualifications Wales to provide research services to three areas: 

1. Explore the research evidence on the effectiveness of continuous assessment (CA) including any role played by digital technology (DT)
2. Consider several relevant examples of summative CA used in national/jurisdictional assessment systems, including any role played by DT
3. Use the findings from the first two outputs to describe plausible scenarios/opportunities for use of (digitalised) CA within a general and vocational qualifications context in Wales.
