Vocational and Other Qualifications Quarterly: Quarter 3 (July to September) 2024 for Wales

Key Points:
- 124,115 certificates were awarded in quarter 3 of 2024. This is a 0.6% increase compared to the same quarter in 2023.
- Between October 2023 and September 2024, 288,450 certificates were awarded, an increase of 12.0% compared to the previous year.
- Compared to Q3 2023, 8 of the 15 sectors saw an increase in certificates in Q3 2024. The largest proportional increase was in ‘History, Philosophy and Theology’.
- Compared to Q3 2023, 6 of the 10 levels saw an increase in certificates in Q3 2024. Level 1 qualifications saw the largest increase in the number of certificates.
