Vocational and Other Qualifications Quarterly: Quarter 3 (July to September) 2025 for Wales

Key Points:
- 132,705 certificates were awarded in quarter 3 of 2025. This is a 6.9% increase compared to the same quarter in 2024.
- Between October 2024 and September 2025, 281,795 certificates were awarded, an increase of 2.2% compared to the previous year.
- Compared to Q3 2024, 9 of the 15 sectors saw a decrease in certificates in Q3 2025. The largest decrease was in ‘Arts, Media and Publishing’.
- Compared to Q3 2024, 5 of the 10 levels saw an increase in certificates in Q3 2025. Level 2 qualifications saw the largest increase in the number of certificates.
