Rules about applications for recognition to award GCSE / GCE qualifications - is for any recognised awarding body wishing to apply for recognition to award GCSE / GCE qualifications.
This should be read in conjunction with the criteria for recognition to award GCSE / GCE qualifications.
Exam Procedures Review Service
The Exam Procedures Review Service (EPRS) is a procedure that Qualifications Wales undertakes to review the following three types of decisions taken by awarding bodies - in relation to approved GCSE, AS or A Levels and to the Welsh Baccalaureate Skills Challenge Certificate:
- marking and moderation
- reasonable adjustments and special considerations
- malpractice or maladministration
The EPRS will review whether or not the awarding body has complied with its Conditions of Recognition.
